Request a panel quote: what to send
Send as much of the list below as you have. Missing some of it? Send what you have, and we will ask about the rest.
The checklist
- Drawings, or a description. Schematics, a panel layout and a bill of materials if you have them; otherwise a sketch or a description of what the panel has to control. Drawings and photos can be attached to the quote request form, or sent as email attachments.
- What the panel does. The machine or process, the loads it runs (motors, drives, pumps, heaters) with their ratings, and how it is operated: pushbuttons, a touch screen, or a link to a plant system.
- The supply. Voltage, phase and frequency, and the control voltage if you have a preference.
- The SCCR requirement. The available fault current where the panel will be installed, or the short-circuit current rating your specification requires. SCCR, explained →
- The enclosure and where it will live. The enclosure type or NEMA rating, and the material if it is specified. Indoors or out, wet or dusty, washdown, temperature, and whether it is a hazardous (classified) area, with its Division or Zone.
- Certification. Whether the panel needs the UL mark for the United States, cUL for Canada, or both, and any testing you want to witness, such as factory acceptance testing to your procedure.
- Brands and parts. Any component brands your specification requires, and any parts you will supply.
- Quantity and date. How many, whether it is a one-off or a repeating program, and when you need them.
- For public bids. The specification sections and drawings that cover the panels, any addenda, and the due date.
What happens next
We review what you send and ask about anything missing. If something would keep a panel from meeting UL 508A, such as component placement or the parts that set the SCCR, we say so before we build. Start-up and commissioning on site can be quoted with the build.
